Dental Assistant - Part Time (2 Days/Wk) - Batavia, OH Location

Work for a growing and innovative dental practice located in Batavia, OH as Moorehead Family Dentistry is currently seeking a driven, caring, and out-going Dental Assistant. This is a 2 day per week position is on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with potential to grow to a 4 day per week role. Assistant must be detail oriented, able to self-manage, and perform a variety of tasks. We offer competitive pay, weekly bonus incentive, 401k matching, and opportunities to serve the community as a staff. Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare exam rooms for patients
  • Provide instruction for treatment and post-treatment care
  • Chart, take digital X-rays and photos
  • Provide technical assistance during dental procedures and examinations
  • Maintain responsibility for the accuracy and confidentiality of patient's records
  • Maintaining and sterilizing dental equipment
  • Keep supplies stocked
  • Remove temporary crowns and try in/adjust permanent crowns.
  • Build rapport with patients

 Qualifications: 

  • To be considered, candidates must have completed Dental Assistant specific education OR have 2+ years of minimum experience as a Dental Assistant chariside in a dental practice
  • Current X-Ray (Radiology) certification
  • Orthodontic and Denture knowledge is a plus
  • Self-motivated with the willingness to exceed patient expectations
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strict adherence to policies and regulations relating to OSHA, CDC, and HIPAA
  • Previous experience using computers (Dentrix/Open Dental/Eagle Soft, Dexis, MS Word, scanning documents)
  • Desire to continually improve by learning new techniques, procedures, and processes.

Front Office Coordinator - Full Time (4 Days/Wk) - Blue Ash, OH Location

Moorehead Family Dentistry is seeking an energetic, compassionate, team player for a Full Time (4 Day/wk) office administrative position. Work for a growing and innovative dental practice in Blue Ash, OH. This role coordinates the patient’s experience in our office and over the phone, often being the first point of contact via phone or in person. Tasks include:

  • Answering patient phone calls
  • Scheduling patient appointments
  • Providing a high level of customer support via phone calls and in person
  • Facilitating patient check in and check out processes, including taking payment
  • Utilizing patient management software to manage patient & insurance info
  • Sending return referrals for IV Sedation patients
  • Verifying patient insurance benefits via websites, and phone calls
  • Confirming patient appointments and filling openings in schedule 
  • After initial training, role may involve being only front office staff member one day per week, presenting treatment plans and facilitating financing options
