Assistant - 4 Days / Week

Moorehead Family Dentistry is offering an exciting career opportunity in our Batavia location for a Dental Assistant. This is a 4 day per week position is on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Assistant must be detail oriented, able to self-manage, and perform a variety of tasks. Our team and processes provide great support, focused on your success and quality of work. This is a great opportunity for a dentist looking to work in a patient focused, technology driven, and rapidly growing office.



  • Prepare exam rooms for patients
  • Patient histories
  • Provide instruction for treatment and post-treatment care
  • Chart, take digital X-rays and photos
  • Provide technical assistance during dental procedures and examinations
  • Make impressions and pour models
  • Fit and adjust bite splints
  • Maintain responsibility for the accuracy and confidentiality of patient's records
  • Maintaining and sterilizing dental equipment
  • Keep supplies stocked
  • Remove temporary crowns and try in/adjust permanent crowns.
  • Build rapport with patients


  • 2-3 years of minimum experience as a Dental Assistant
  • Current X-Ray (Radiology) certification
  • Dental Assistant Certification strongly preferred
  • Orthodontic and Denture knowledge is a plus
  • Self-motivated with the willingness to exceed patient expectations
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strict adherence to policies and regulations relating to OSHA, CDC, and HIPAA
  • Previous experience using computers (Dentrix/Open Dental/Eagle Soft, Dexis, MS Word, scanning documents)
  • Desire to continually improve by learning new techniques, procedures, and processes.
  • Team oriented with an outgoing personality
