Full Time EFDA (OH Dental License preferred)

Our growing dental practice located in Cincinnati, OH is currently seeking an experienced, caring, out-going EFDA/Dental Hygienist. Ideal candidate must have Coronal Polishing certificate. This is a full time position and includes work in both our Blue Ash and Batavia offices. Assistant must be detail oriented, able to self-manage, and perform a variety of tasks. 



Blue Ash Dentist Hiring EFDA

  • Prepare exam rooms for patients
  • Patient histories
  • Provide instruction for treatment and post-treatment care
  • Chart, take digital X-rays and photos
  • Provide technical assistance during dental procedures and examinations
  • Make impressions and pour models
  • Fit and adjust bite splints
  • Fabricate and adjust chairside temporary crowns
  • Maintain responsibility for the accuracy and confidentiality of patient's records
  • Cleaning calcareous deposits, accretions and stains from teeth and beneath gum margins with dental instruments (if applying with Ohio Hygiene License)
  • Maintaining and sterilizing dental equipment
  • Applying fluorides and other cavity preventing agents to prevent dental decay, such as sealants
  • Keep supplies stocked
  • Place restorations – composite mostly, but occasionally amalgam
  • Fit and insert stainless steel crowns
  • Remove temporary crowns and try in/adjust permanent crowns.
  • Build rapport with patients



  • 1-3 years of experience as an Expanded Function Dental Assistant and Ohio Hygiene License preferred
  • Current X-Ray (Radiology) certification
  • Experience making chairside temporary crowns
  • Experience with periodontal scaling and root planing is preferred (if applying with Ohio Hygiene License)
  • Orthodontic knowledge is a plus
  • Self-motivated with the willingness to exceed patient expectations
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strict adherence to policies and regulations relating to OSHA, CDC, and HIPAA
  • Previous experience using computers (Dentrix/Open Dental/Eagle Soft, Dexis, MS Word, scanning documents)
  • Desire to continually improve by learning new techniques, procedures, and processes.
  • Team oriented with an outgoing personality
